Dr. Adler specializes in investigating mystery rashes. He performs comprehensive patch testing to diagnose contact dermatitis, a rash that can develop at any time in life due to the many substances that come into contact with the skin. He also provides photopatch testing and evaluation of sun-sensitive skin disorders. He is active in research as a member of the North American Contact Dermatitis Group and serves on the Board of Directors of the American Contact Dermatitis Society.
