Dr. Jenanan Vairavamurthy is a graduate of the Leadership in Medicine Program - a combined undergraduate and medical school program offered by Union College and Albany Medical College. He earned a BS in Sociology and Biology and a MS in Healthcare Management as an undergraduate. He then graduated from Albany Medical College in 2010, where he was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA) honor society. He completed his internship in Internal Medicine at the NorthShore-LIJ Health System in Manhasset, NY followed by a residency in Diagnostic Radiology at Mount Sinai Beth Israel in Manhattan, NY from 2011-2015. Dr. Vairavamurthy came to the University of Southern California for his fellowship in Vascular and Interventional Radiology from 2015-2016. He then completed an NIH-T32 Research fellowship at the Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, MD, and was awarded "Research of the Year" by the Society of Interventional Radiology in 2017. He then joined the faculty at the University of Maryland prior to coming back to USC in 2018. He is now the Director of Research for the Interventional Radiology section and actively engaged in medical student and trainee education. He is the director of the 3rd and 4th year electives in Vascular and Interventional Radiology at the Keck School of Medicine and created a "Virtual" rotation for interested medical students.
He is board-certified in Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology and is a member of the Society of Interventional Radiology.
