Dr. Raj Dasgupta completed his residency serving Internal Medicine at Michigan State University, he went on to complete two fellowships. The first in Pulmonary & Critical Care at Columbia University, Saint Luke’s & Roosevelt Hospital and the second in Sleep Medicine at Henry Ford Hospital.
During Dr. Dasgupta’s training, he received numerous awards including resident of the year, fellow of the year and the Director’s Award for research. Once his training was complete, he worked at Abington Hospital, affiliated with Jefferson University. There he received the faculty teacher of the year award.
Currently, he teaches at the University of Southern California (USC) as a Clinical Associate Professor. For six consecutive years he has received the faculty teaching award here at USC. He also serves as the Assistant Program Director of Internal Medicine Residency and the Associate Program Director of Sleep Medicine Fellowship.
With four board certifications in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary, Critical Care, and Sleep Medicine, he is not only an active clinician but also an active clinical researcher. He has taught USMLE Step 1, 2, 3, and Internal Medicine Board Review around the world for the past 20 years.
Due to his years of dedicated experience, he partnered with Elsevier to publish multiple clinical and basic science book series. They are entitled, “Morning Report: Beyond the Pearls” and “Case Reports: Beyond the Pearls” consecutively
He is also a regular in media, appearing on various platforms and television shows such as Chasing the Cure, The Doctors, CNN, ABC News and Inside Edition.
