Stephen G. Owens, MD, is board-certified in orthopaedic surgery and fellowship-trained in sports medicine. He has served the greater Los Angeles area and Foothills community for over two decades, treating patients of all ages, including amateur athletes and older adults with arthritis and other degenerative conditions. He specializes in arthroscopic management of
sports medicine injuries, as well as in surgical and nonsurgical management of simple and complex disorders of the shoulder, knee and hip. He has extensive experience with total and partial knee replacement, shoulder replacement and anterior approach total hip replacement.
Dr. Owens believes in building confidence and independence in patients by encouraging them to take an active role in their recovery. He volunteers as team physician for Hoover High School in Glendale and for Glendale Community College, and provides physician coverage for other area high school football games.
